Milla Jovovich to play the villain in Hellboy reboot
Milla Jovovich has her eye on the throne.
The Resident Evil star is in final negotiations to play the villainous Blood Queen in Lionsgate and Millennium Films’ Hellboy reboot, EW has confirmed.
Jovovich would join a cast that features David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Hellboy, a red-hued half-demon who fights the forces of darkness, and Ian McShane (American Gods) as his adoptive father and mentor, Professor Broom. Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game of Thrones) is directing the new Hellboy, which is based on Mike Mignola’s comic book creation.
Jovovich is a veteran of genre films, with credits including six Resident Evil movies, Ultraviolet, and The Fifth Element. She was last seen on the big screen in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and Zoolander 2.
Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.
