Justice League toys offer first detailed look at villain Steppenwolf
Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of DC’s finest will have their hands full come November, thanks to the villains of Justice League — and EW has your first detailed look.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC Entertainment, and Mattel have joined forces for a new line of toys in support of the epic superhero team-up film. The lineup features the usual suspects of Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Flash (Ezra Miller), Superman (Henry Cavill), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), but will also include Steppenwolf and the Parademons, both of whom briefly appeared in the recent Comic-Con trailer.
Sold exclusively at Toys “R” Us for $19.99, the 6″ tall Parademon figure features 19 points of articulation and comes with signature double wings and an energy rifle accessory. In the film, the race of extraterrestrials serve under the command of Steppenwolf, who is being portrayed by Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones). Not sold as an individual figure, Steppenwolf can be built from separate bonus pieces that come with each of six Justice League figures.
Also being unveiled by Mattel is the Flying Fox, which is making its big-screen debut in Justice League. The 30-inch replica of the Bruce Wayne-built aerial transport for his super team is available exclusively at Wal-Mart for $79.99.
Justice League flies into theaters on Nov. 17. In the meantime, fans can keep up with Justice League film updates, product news, and augmented reality experiences on JoinTheLeague.com, which launches at 10 a.m. ET Wednesday.
