First look: Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway reunite in Serenity
The 'Interstellar' costars are back on screen together in a noir thriller
Alright, alright, alright — Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway are back together again onscreen in the new noir thriller Serenity.
The pair, who starred opposite each other as NASA researchers on a mission to save the planet in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, can be seen in this first look at the film currently shooting on location in Mauritius.
McConaughey looks haunted as he faces away from Hathaway, who is rocking an icy blonde look.
The film is described as “a mysterious tale of a fishing boat captain whose past is about to crash up against his life on a small island in the tropics and ensnare him in a new reality that might not be all it seems to be.” The exact nature of Hathaway and McConaughey’s roles has yet to be confirmed.
Eastern Promises writer Steven Knight is writing and directing. Diane Lane, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou, and Jeremy Strong also star.
