Remake of Francis Ford Coppola's Dementia 13 gets release date
Chiller Films announced Tuesday that its remake of the low-budget 1963 horror movie Dementia 13 will be released in theaters on Oct. 6 and on VOD and Digital HD on Oct. 10. The film concerns a vengeful ghost, a mysterious killer, and a family brimming with secrets, who all converge in one night of terror.
The original Dementia 13 is notable for being produced by the legendary Roger Corman and directed by the no-less-famous Francis Ford Coppola, who would go on to make The Godfather, The Conversation, and Apocalypse Now before returning to the horror genre with 1992’s Gary Oldman-starring Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
This new version is directed by Richard LeMay (Naked As We Come) and written by Dan DeFilippo. The cast includes Julia Campanelli, Ana Isabelle, Marianne Noscheze, Channing Pickett, and Christian Ryan.
