A local unit of firefighters in Prescott, Arizona known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots made national news in 2013 when 19 men died fighting the Yarnell Hill wildfire — now, they’re getting the Hollywood treatment in Only the Brave.

On Oct. 20, Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Taylor Kitsch, Jeff Bridges, Jennifer Connolly, and more will tell the story of the elite group of firefighters trained to fight out-of-control fires. Based on a true story, the film delves into the personal lives of these men who run toward danger and put their lives on the line to protect their families and their towns.

Packed with award-winning actors, the film may look to make a run for Oscar gold with its prime awards season October release date.
