Scream Factory is zeroing in on zombies. On Thursday, the horror-centric imprint announced that it was releasing George A. Romero’s 2005 undead tale Land of the Dead in a two-disc collector’s edition set and now comes the news that company is giving the same treatment to Zack Snyder’s 2004 remake of Romero’s ’70s horror classic, Dawn of the Dead. Bonus features will include fresh interviews with actors Ty Burrell and Jake Webber, screenwriter James Gunn, and David Anderson and Heather Langenkamp Anderson, whose company AFX Studio oversaw the film’s zombie effects. (And if you’re wondering, “Hey, is that the same Heather Langenkamp who faced off against Freddy Krueger in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street?”, the answer is, “Yes!”)

Dawn of the Dead costars Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Mekhi Phifer, and Michael Kelly, among others.

The Blu-ray will be released Oct. 24, but those who pre-order the film via the Shout! Factory website will receive their purchase two weeks earlier.
