Lake Bell, Ed Helms tackle marriage in first trailer for I Do… Until I Don't
Four years after making her directorial debut with the hilarious voiceover comedy In a World…, Lake Bell has lined up her next ellipsis-laden project.
EW has the exclusive first look at the trailer (and first poster, below) for I Do… Until I Don’t, a comedy about marriage starring Bell, Ed Helms, Paul Reiser, Mary Steenburgen, Amber Heard, Wyatt Cenac, and Dolly Wells. Set in Vero Beach, Florida, I Do… centers on a fictional documentary about how marriage is an outdated concept, and it may be time to turn the institution into a seven-year contract with the option to renew.
Wells plays the documentarian who follows three different married couples: the married-for-a-decade Alice and Noah (Bell and Helms), the free-spirited-with-an-open-marriage Fanny and Zander (Heard and Cenac), and the empty-nesters Cybil and Harvey (Steenburgen and Reiser).
I Do… Until I Don’t will hit theaters on Sept. 1.
