Mission: Impossible 6 director highlights female stars in new photo
Mission: Impossible 6 director Christopher McQuarrie has offered yet another tease to the upcoming movie on social media. This time, it’s in the form of a photograph that highlights four of the actresses who’ll be starring in the film.
The image, which he tweeted late Saturday night, sees (in order from left to right) Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Angela Bassett (Black Panther), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible 5), and Michelle Monaghan (The Path) standing together and gazing into the distance. Sian Brooke (Sherlock), whose role has been kept secret thus far, is missing, though.
Kirby and Bassett may be new additions to the Tom Cruise-starring franchise, but Ferguson and Monaghan have appeared in previous Mission: Impossible movies and will be reprising their roles as Isla Faust (a hypercompetent special agent equal to Cruise’s Ethan Hunt) and Julia Meade (Ethan’s wife whose death he faked), respectively.
This isn’t the first time McQuarrie has teased fans with a glimpse at M:I 6. Earlier in March, he and Henry Cavill (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) revealed that the Superman actor would be joining the cast of the movie via an Instagram message. Then, later in April, he announced the beginning of filming with another tweeted photo.
Mission: Impossible 6 drops into theaters July 27, 2018.
