Marvel and DC stars praise, tease each other on Twitter for Wonder Woman’s big debut
Gal Gadot and Chris Hemsworth agree: Wonder Woman could kick Thor’s butt

Wonder Woman’s record-smashing box office debut is too monumental to just be celebrated in the DC Extended Universe.
As the Patty Jenkins-directed feature lassoed $100.5 million dollars in its opening weekend, stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe reached out to offer praise — and a little good fun — of their own.
On Friday, as the film began playing in theaters, star Gal Gadot had a question for Thor actor Chris Hemsworth: which of their characters would win in a fight?
Hemsworth responded quickly that it was a no-brainer: “I think she’d kick Thor’s a**.”
“I always knew you were a smart guy,” Gadot added later, hinting they should put the throwdown to the test. “But I think it’s worth a fight. We should collide [Marvel and DC] worlds.”
Fellow Marvel stars Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, and Lupita Nyong’o (who’ll make her MCU debut in the upcoming Black Panther) also crossed the comic-book divide to cheer on Wonder Woman and director Patty Jenkins.
And Joss Whedon — who has his hands in both camps, between the Avengers films, his work on Justice League, and his planned Batgirl film — called the Amazonian warrior’s standalone outing a “goddamn delight.”
Wonder Woman is in theaters now.
