In the new supernatural horror film Darkness Rising (out June 30) a woman named Madison Shaw discovers that her childhood home is about to be torn down and decides she must see it one last time. But this isn’t a nostalgic trip through childhood memories — when she was a little girl, her mother killed her baby sister, and Madison narrowly escaped with her life. Now, she has one last chance to confront the demons that have haunted her ever since. Enlisting the help of her boyfriend, Jake, and cousin, Izzy, they revisit the scene of the horrific nightmares Madison has been concealing from them. Unsettling events build until the three find themselves trapped inside the house by forces beyond their comprehension.

Darkness Rising is directed by Austin Reading from a script by Vikram Weet. The film stars Tara Holt, Bryce Johnson, Katrina Law, Heather Mazur, Myk Watford, Christian Ganiere, and Ted Raimi. Darkness Rising will be available in select theaters, on VOD, and via digital platforms, June 30, from IFC Midnight.
