Taissa Farmiga is following in her sister’s footsteps.

The American Horror Story actress landed a role in The Nun, a spinoff based on the demonic entity in The Conjuring 2, EW has confirmed. Her sister, Vera Farmiga, stars alongside Patrick Wilson in the main installments of the franchise, last seen in the 2016 sequel directed by James Wan.

Bonnie Aarons transformed into Valek for The Conjuring 2, but Farmiga will portray the titular role in The Nun. Plot details are still scarce, but Demián Bichir also stars in the spinoff, while Corin Hardy (The Hallow) directs from a script written by Wan and Gary Dauberman.

The Nun is the latest expansion to the world of The Conjuring. Dauberman previously penned the Annabelle spinoff and its sequel, Annabelle: Creation, which will premiere on Aug. 11. With Aquaman in the works, Wan is still figuring out if he could potentially return for The Conjuring 3. But the last chapter surpassed the worldwide gross of the original with $320.3 million, so chances of another seem fairly high.

Deadline was the first to report Farmiga’s casting.
