Girls just wanna have fun…especially at Essence Fest in New Orleans. That’s the basic gist of Girls Trip, a hard-R-rated comedy about a group of old friends — Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish — who attempt to rekindle their friendship at the epic summer festival and find a bit of trouble. “It’s The Hangover meets Sex and the City,” explains director Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man Holiday) of the film. “Women are just as lascivious and sexual as men, and they want to let loose and have fun.”

Speaking of, one of the movie’s biggest jokes is a sex act involving a grapefruit, taught to the women by Haddish’s character. EW talked to Latifah and Pinkett Smith about getting sexy with citrus.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Did you all know the grapefruit sex tip?
JADA PINKETT SMITH: Oh yeah. That’s been around for years. You gotta have a lot of balls to put that into a movie.
QUEEN LATIFAH: You literally have to have a lot of balls.
JADA PINKETT SMITH: Will [Smith, her husband] told me about that, like, three years ago. Like, “You should see this grapefruit!” I was like, “Are you trying to tell me something?”

Girls Trip is out in theaters July 21. You can see a new photo from the film above.
