British comic 2000AD is best known for bringing us the character of future lawman Judge Dredd but the title also helped introduce to the world an array of hugely talented writers and artists, including Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, and Brian Bolland. The history of this legendary and ground-breaking title is related in a new documentary, Future Shock! The Story of 2000AD, will be released on Blu-ray and DVD, May 30, Severin Films announced Thursday.

The home video release will feature over six hours of bonus materials, including looks at such 2000AD strips as Rogue Trooper, Slaine, and Strontium Dog and additional interview material with Morrison, Gaiman, writer and comic cocreator Pat Mills, artist Dave Gibbons, and Vertigo founder Karen Berger, who was responsible for hiring several key 2000AD talents to work on American titles.
