The 'Life' stars continue to make the most of their press rounds.
Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal continue to make the most of their press interviews for Life. While promoting their sci-fi thriller, the actors teamed up with Wired to answer questions based on those wacky autocompleted searches in Google.
Apparently, when Google users search for “is Ryan Reynolds,” the engine will auto-populate options like “is Ryan Reynolds Debbie Reynolds’ son?” “is Ryan Reynolds related to Ryan Gosling?” “is Ryan Reynolds missing a tooth?” and “is Ryan Reynolds mean?”
“Look, you punch a couple hundred orphans and suddenly you’re mean. This is what I don’t understand,” the Deadpool star joked, while his costar theorized how the two Ryans could be related. “Canada had sex with America, and then they made the two of them and they’re twins, and both of them tried to eat each other in the womb but they didn’t, they survived, and because of the trauma they both became actors, and that’s why the two of them are actors and who they are,” Gyllenhaal riffed.
Some of the other most searched for questions were less outlandish, like “what is Jake Gyllenhaal[‘s] zodiac sign?,” “why Ryan Reynolds wanted to play Deadpool,” and “what does Ryan Reynolds use in his hair?” But even those produced priceless answers. “Mostly just swamp water,” Reynolds said when posed the latter. “It’s actually exclusively with politicians’ spit, so that’s how you get this look.”
