Harry Potter fans may still lament every Sept. 1 that they’re not school-bound on the Hogwarts Express, but now there’s a new piece of the wizarding world even mere Muggles can enjoy.

Butterbeer — the frothy, creamy drink enjoyed by Harry and his friends in J.K. Rowling’s books and subsequent film adaptations — is now available to purchase in ice cream form, and you don’t have to go to Hogsmeade (or Universal Studios’ Harry Potter theme parks) to do it.

Pennsylvania’s Yuengling’s Ice Cream has introduced the flavor, described as a mix of buttercream and butterscotch ice creams with a butterscotch swirl running through the mixture.

“We are always looking for ways to inspire our fans and spark creativity. Whether it’s our flavor names and descriptions or the recipes themselves — we’re in the business of having fun,” David Yuengling, President of Yuengling’s Ice Cream, said in a press release. “We hope we made J.K. Rowling proud with this flavor.”

The ice cream flavor is now available in pints (with quarts coming later) in local supermarket chains. Find out more at the Yuengling’s Ice Cream website, and then join Hermione in enjoying some.
