Prime users will be able to stream Barry Jenkins' moving film beginning in May, as part of an extended deal between Amazon and A24
A24, the production company behind Barry Jenkins‘ moving coming-of-age story, has extended a deal with Amazon Prime to make the streaming service the exclusive online home for its content, it was announced Friday.
Moonlight is already available to rent or purchase via Amazon Video, but Prime users will be able to screen the film at no additional cost beginning in May. Other A24 films, such as The Lobster, Green Room, and Swiss Army Man are available on Prime already, while other favorites like 20th Century Women and The Lovers will be available later this year.
Moonlight took home three Oscars at last month’s Academy Awards ceremony, winning Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali in addition to Best Picture. The film will be available to stream on Amazon Prime beginning May 21.
