The late Bill Paxton had wrapped a couple of films which were unreleased at the time of his death last month: the Emma Watson-starring The Circle (out April 28) and the thriller Mean Dreams (out in theaters and on VOD on March 17). The latter follows a farm boy named Jonas (Josh Wiggins) and the new girl next door, Casey (Sophie Nélisse), as the two 15-year-olds fall in love — and into danger. Jonas discovers that Casey’s abusive home life has reached a new level of danger and takes the lead in their escape by stealing a bag full of drug money from Casey’s corrupt father, local cop Wayne Caraway, who is played by Paxton.

Mean Dreams is directed by Nathan Morlando and costars Colm Feore. Vertical Entertainment is releasing the film in cinemas and on VOD on March 17.
