The good news is that Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Rebecca Ferguson have discovered the first proof of life on Mars, and they’re on their way back to Earth. The bad news is that the alien they’ve discovered isn’t very friendly — and now it’s on its way to Earth, too.

A new teaser for Daniel Espinosa’s sci-fi thriller Life introduces an international space crew who’ve discovered an alien life form, only to find themselves hunted by the rapidly shifting and mutating creature. Whether it’s grabbing on to a scientist played by Ariyon Bakare or stalking some lab rats, it’s clear that this is one hostile extraterrestrial.

Life will hit theaters on March 24, but South by Southwest festivalgoers will get a chance to see the film early, when it makes its world premiere as the festival’s closing film on March 18. Watch the new teaser (which includes some NSFW language) below.
