Liam Neeson’s Bryan Mills isn’t the only one with “a very particular set of skills.” Charlize Theron debuts as kick-ass MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton in the NSFW Atomic Blonde trailer, which sees the actress going full Furiosa across a volatile Berlin.

David Leitch, a fight choreographer and director of Deadpool 2, helms the film, which sees Lorraine tracking down a priceless dossier out of the city in 1989 as she attempts to discover who’s killing off her fellow operatives. In the footage, Theron shows off her “impressive set of skills” through an intense single tracking shot in a staircase and later in a neck-cracking balcony swing.

James McAvoy (X-Men: Apocalypse, Split) pops in as Lorraine’s Berlin contact, an embedded station chief named David Percival, to help her navigate treacherous terrain. Elsewhere, we see John Goodman and Toby Jones, as well as Sofia Boutella (The Mummy) in the throws of a hot-and-heavy love scene with the leading lady.

“I hadn’t seen another character like her out there,” Theron told EW. “She doesn’t apologize for anything. We made her strong and feisty. She’s cheeky. These were all things I responded to.”

Atomic Blonde will make its debut at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, before hitting theaters July 28. Watch the trailer above.
