Becoming Bond trailer explores George Lazenby's wild ride as 007

The documentary-narrative hybrid, which is getting a May 20 premiere date on Hulu after premiering at the upcoming SXSW Festival, comes from writer-director Josh Greenbaum. The film tells the unique story of Lazenby, an Australian man who went from selling used cars to starring as the iconic spy in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, taking over from Sean Connery. It would be his sole Bond film, as herejected a lucrative offer to remain in the part.
In the trailer, the actor promises drama, romance, comedy, sex, drugs, violence, twists, and turns. “How could I remember it if it wasn’t true?” he teases.
The real Lazenby shares the tales of his life while his stories are reenacted on screen by Josh Lawson (House of Lies). Jeff Garlin, Jake Johnson, Jane Seymour, and Dana Carvey also star in the film.
