Michael K. Williams comin’… to a galaxy far, far away.

EW reported last week that The Wire alum was in talks for a role in the upcoming Han Solo movie, and now, Williams has confirmed the news.

Appearing on Entertainment Weekly: The Show, Williams laughed and evaded the topic when the film was brought up before eventually offering a brief comment.

“Yes ma’am,” he said. “I think it’s pretty safe to say, yeah, I think I’m going to be a part of the family.”

The film from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street), which is slated for a May 25, 2018 release, is the latest project for the busy actor who in the last few months has starred in Assassin’s Creed, The Night Of, When We Live, and will return for the second season of Hap & Leonard next week.

Williams joins Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, plus Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
