Yes, they do call each other a family.

Upon the release of the initial The Fate of the Furious trailer, many fans were left wondering how Dom (Vin Diesel) could turn his back on his family. Now, in the latest look at the upcoming film, he declares that he has “no choice.”

After spending six movies (Diesel was absent from 2 Fast 2 Furious) building his crew, Dom is going rogue for the franchise’s eighth installment, falling under the control of new villain Cipher (Charlize Theron).

In the new spot, which dropped Friday on social media, more of the mysterious relationship is explored. “I think I need to remind you why you chose to do this,” barks Cipher, with Dom angrily responding, “I got no choice.”

As Dom takes on the role of adversary, Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs has apparently stepped into the position of leader.

“This crew is about family,” Hobbs tells the group. “But the game has changed now. We’re going to find Toretto as a team.”
