Aaron Sorkin taught screenwriting, Werner Herzog taught filmmaking, Shonda Rhimes taught television writing, and now Steve Martin wants to teach you comedy.

In EW’s exclusive trailer for Martin’s MasterClass, the 71-year-old comedy great will address a variety of topics including performing comedy, writing, self-editing, and his personal process. “I was talking with some students and they were saying things like, ‘How do I get an agent?’ ‘Where do I get my head shots?’ And I just thought, shouldn’t the first thing you’re thinking about [be], ‘How do I be good?'” he says.

Martin’s career is marked by five Golden Globe nominations for films like Father of the Bride Part II, Parenthood, and Roxanne, as well as notable roles in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Three Amigos, and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. “You may think I don’t have any talent. I guarantee you I had no talent — none,” he jokes.

All MasterClass courses are available on the education platform’s website for $90 each. Pre-enrollment for Martin’s class begins Thursday.
