Moviegoers will have to wait five extra months to see Jason Statham battle a massive prehistoric shark. Warner Bros. announced Thursday that its underwater thriller Meg has been delayed until Aug. 10, 2018.

The film had previously been scheduled for release March 2, 2018, which would have pitted it against an unspecified Fox/Marvel movie. On its new August date, Meg is slated to go up against Universal’s Scarface reboot.

Directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure), Meg is based on Steve Alten’s novel of the same name and stars Statham as a rescue diver called upon to save a deep-sea crew menaced by an ancient megalodon shark (hence the title). The cast also includes Li Bingbing, Cliff Curtis, Ruby Rose, Rainn Wilson, and Jessica McNamee.
