Bill Paxton’s True Lies costars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis paid tribute to the late actor, who died Sunday at age 61, on social media soon after news of his death broke.
“Bill Paxton could play any role,” Schwarzenegger tweeted, “but he was best at being Bill – a great human being with a huge heart. My thoughts are with his family.”
Curtis tweeted a photo from the 1994 film along with a message: “Nooooo. Bill Paxton is gone. Such a funny, talented, loving human. Louise & the children & family my [love]&support 2 u. #truelies.”
Costar Tom Arnold also posted his memorial to Paxton on social media.
True Lies stars Schwarzenegger as a secret agent hiding his double life from his wife (Curtis), who Paxton’s character is trying to seduce. James Cameron directed the comedy, and also worked with Paxton on The Terminator, Aliens, and Titanic. He honored Paxton in a statement obtained by Vanity Fair, writing that they shared a 36-year friendship “of laughter, adventure, love of cinema, and mutual respect.” Read his full note here.
