Horror film The Devil’s Candy has received hell-ishly good word of mouth since the movie debuted at the Toronto Film Festival back in 2015 and currently boasts an impressive 90 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. What the Devil is it about? The film stars Ethan Embry as a struggling artist and metalhead who moves with his wife (Shiri Appleby) and daughter (Kiara Glasco) to a new house with a grisly history in rural Texas. Things begin to unravel for the family with the appearance of Ray (Pruitt Taylor Vince), a previous occupant of the abode and all-around disturbed-seeming personage.

The Devil’s Candy is written and directed by Sean Byrne (The Loved Ones) and produced by Keith Calder and Jess Calder, whose previous credits include You’re Next and last year’s Blair Witch. The soundtrack features tracks from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and an original score by Sunn O))).

The Devil’s Candy will be available in select theaters, on VOD, and via digital platforms on March 17 from IFC Midnight. You can exclusively watch the film’s trailer, above.
