It’s time to start head-banging to “Bohemian Rhapsody” again because Wayne’s World is returning to theaters in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary.

Based on the Saturday Night Live sketches starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, Wayne’s World premiered in February of 1992. So, this Feb. 7-8, select theaters will play host to two of cinema’s favorite slackers. The screenings will be followed by a pre-recorded roundtable discussion with Wayne’s World director Penelope Spheeris, Rolling Stone film critic Peter Travers, and select cast members.

The Wayne’s World website for its “25th birthday bash” features a list of participating locations across America.

Pitchfork also reports that Paramount Home Media Distribution will put out a Wayne’s World double feature on DVD and Digital HD, starting Feb. 14 (the film’s actual 25th anniversary). The iTunes edition is said to include new extras, like director’s commentary and a making-of featurette.

Elsewhere, Aurora, Illinois — where the rock-loving Wayne and Garth hosted their local public-access show — will feature a string of events celebrating the film’s anniversary, according to The Chicago Tribune.

We’re not worthy!
