Time to hit the links (and the bar) with Carl Speckler.
Bill Murray and his five brothers are planning to open a Caddyshack-themed sports bar outside of Chicago, according to the Daily Herald.
The Murrays “have a verbal agreement” for an 11,000-square-foot space inside a hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, the Herald reports, and they are now working to get a written lease. There is currently no timetable for an opening.
The brothers opened the Murray Bros. Caddyshack Bar & Grill in St. Augustine, Florida in 2001, led by chef Andy, financial executive Edward, and actors Bill, Brian, Joel, and John.
Bill Murray, of course, played Speckler in the hit 1980 comedy Caddyshack, which helped launch his post-Saturday Night Live career. He and his brothers grew up in Wilmette, Illinois, which is about 10 miles away from Rosemont.
