Orange is the New Black’s standout star Ruby Rose is in talks to join Jason Statham in the shark drama Meg, EW has confirmed.

She will join the film directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure) to play Jaxx, an edgy engineering genius who is trapped with a marine research team in an underwater observation program in the Mariana Trench. Statham will play a former naval captain who is tasked with rescuing the trapped crew from an ancient Megalodon shark.

Rose is also headed to theaters in three upcoming films, including XXX: The Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter with Milla Jovovich, and John Wick 2 with Keanu Reeves.

The Warner Bros. movie is slated to hit theaters March 2, 2018. News of Rose’s addition comes a day after confirmation of former Siren’s star Jessica McNamee joining the film.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the casting.
