'You just have to clear your mind,' he says
You’ve mastered Ferrari. You can serve up Magnum in your sleep. And Le Tigre? Mere child’s play. But only one man has ever had the skill and the audacity to pull off Blue Steel — until now.
Zoolander 2 star, director, and co-writer Ben Stiller recently stopped by The Graham Norton Show to promote his fashion-forward comedy, and while there he unlocked the secrets of the ultimate modeling pose.
“It’s a six-part process,” Stiller deadpanned, going on to describe a series of intricate physical and mental steps that allegedly produce the famous look — part pout, part furrowed brow, part vacant stare.
“You just have to clear your mind,” Stiller said. “That’s probably the biggest thing.”
Mugging all the while, he continued, “It’s not even the result, what you’re doing what your face, it’s what you’re thinking, which is just like, ‘OK, take it already!'”
