One way to bring Jon Snow back from the dead? Stick him in a traffic jam.

At least, that's how Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harington woke up during the Golden Globes' opening musical number.

In the opening sequence — the first-ever pre-recorded segment at the start of a Golden Globes telecast — host Jimmy Fallon and a cavalcade of stars, including Nicole Kidman and Amy Adams, spoofed the opening sequence of La La Land (with 27 of the 30 dancers from the actual film on hand to participate).Harington made his appearance in the back of a car, looking as lifeless as his character had been at the start of season 6 — only to wake up when car horns blared to move things along: <iframe class="giphy-embed" src="//" width="480" height="248" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" scrolling="no" resize="0" replace_attributes="1" name=""></iframe>

Harington then sang a line and — gasp! — cracked a smile at the camera:

The video was directed by Dan Opsal, who works with Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Harington's part was recorded via Skype, as the Thrones star was in England when the cold open was shot.
