Lego Dimensions gets Harry Potter, Goonies, Knight Rider expansions
- TV Show
Some fan-favorite franchises are coming to Lego Dimensions, along with plenty of ’80s nostalgia.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on Thursday announced several new expansion packs for the toy-videogame hybrid, including Harry Potter, The Goonies, and Knight Rider.
The Knight Rider pack, which Lego Sonic introduces in the “Meet the Heroes” video above, includes Michael Knight and his talking Pontiac Trans Am KITT, as well as Michael’s villainous doppelgänger. In the game, the pair hit the colorful streets to take on crime.
The Goonies level pack includes One-Eyed Willy’s pirate ship, the skeleton organ, and a Super Sloth minifigure, which provides access to a Goonies battle arena. In the new level, players help Sloth and Chunk (yes, he does the Truffle Shuffle) escape the Fratelli hideout, smashing through areas with Sloth’s super strength. There’s even a bonus for the most dedicated of treasure-hunters: the chance to play as seven other Goonies characters once the level is complete.
Everyone’s favorite wizarding world is getting its own Fun Pack, with Hermione Granger as the star. The savvy Hogwarts alum can teach players to cast spells such as Wingardium Leviosa and Lumos. The unlockable Adventure World also allows for extra exploration in Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and of course, Hogwarts. Buckbeak the Hippogriff could even make an appearance if players lay their bricks right.
Also joining the ever-growing universe are more in the Lego City collection. Chase McCain, city operator extraordinaire, can go from miner to firefighter with a simple costume change, and with his trusted Detective Scanner, he can also fight crime like Michael Knight.
The Michael and KITT figures hit shelves Feb. 10, while the Harry Potter, The Goonies, and Chase McCaine sets release May 9 for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.
