The Family
Brosnan plays the charismatic patriarch Eli McCullough, father to Pete (Henry Garrett, Poldark) and grandfather to Jeannie (Tony nominee Sydney Lucas, Fun Home). Eli was born on the day Texas became an independent Republic — he's oft called the "First Son of Texas" — and is "uneasy with the inexorable taming of Texas and the uncertain future of his legacy." Meanwhile, Pete is described as struggling to "make his impossible father proud while forging his own identity."
