'So You Think You Can Dance': Meet the Top 10!
5. Jenna Johnson
Evaluation: The ballroom specialist loves to play the sexy vixen, but is just as compelling outside her style in emotional pieces, like Travis Wall's red-band ''puppet'' contemporary. Nigel keeps on saving her from the bottom three girls — is she worth the trouble?
Best judge comment: ''You remind me of Cyd Charisse and Gwen Verdon with your legs and extension: picture-perfect.'' —Wayne Brady
4. Makenzie Dustman
Evaluation: It's hard not to love such a gorgeous contemporary dancer with magical feet. But will she lose momentum when paired up with someone less popular than Paul?
Best judge comment: ''In some of the other dances, you've been given the 'beautiful' character — and you're so pretty. But in this, the power wasn't coming from your beauty. It was coming from your ability.'' —Anna Kendrick
3. Jasmine Harper
Evaluation: The long and lean powerhouse has proven versatile beyond her contemporary specialty. Her sass-monster work in Aug. 6's ''gold-digger'' hip-hop routine was otherworldly cool.
Best judge comment: ''People always talk about your extensions and grace. I would be happy to watch you eat a bowl of cereal.'' —Anna Kendrick
2. Amy Yakima
Evaluation: The quirkiest (in both movement and personality) of this year's contemporary dancers, this girl can dissolve into any character, contort herself into any position, and emote with the best of 'em. She's a joy to watch and I always end up thinking, Yep, this one. She's the best. I was shocked when she landed in the bottom three girls on Aug. 6.
Best judge comments: ''You're a piece of clay,'' and ''Amy is what we'd call a beast.'' —Nigel Lythgoe
1. Hayley Erbert
Evaluation: Despite multiple partner switches, the contemporary dancer has quietly (yet smolderingly, if you look back closely — remember that tango with Leonardo?) emerged as one of the most popular dancers. She's never been in the bottom three and has the knockout looks, technical talent, and relatability factor it could take to win.
Best judge comment: ''If I could have your body for one day, I could do anything. I could solve world hunger!'' —Anna Kendrick
NEXT: Sizing up the Top 5 guys...
5. Tucker Knox
Evaluation: A knee infection kept him from performing Aug. 6, so he's at an instant disadvantage. The contemporary dancer with the ferocious kicks will automatically be in the bottom two guys come Tuesday.
Best judge comment: ''You're strong when you need to be.'' —Mary Murphy
4. Nico Greetham
Evaluation: Potentially an even bigger sleeper than Tucker, contemporary specialist Nico has yet to set himself apart with a standout performance. But his Broadway performance under gypsy/spider Hayley's spell was a knockout, and he's been consistent all along.
Best judge comment: ''You were so darn fast it was almost as if you'd had some of Honey Boo Boo's go-go juice.'' —Who else but Mary Murphy?
Evaluation: We may have seen the best from animator Fik-Shun in his versatile repertoire with partner Amy, but who knows? His positive spirit is infectious, and like Kenny Ortega said, he could probably figure out a way to fly if a choreographer asked him to.
Best judge comment: ''I am so frickin' proud of you. You're happy all over your face. I could smash you, squeeze you, do all that I do.'' —Paula Abdul
2. Aaron Turner
Evaluation: The first tapper to ever make the Top 10, Aaron's been propelled by drive, commitment, and fully realized movements no matter the setting. He's always so sensual, slithering around on the floor like an overgrown earthworm in heat. I'm loving his passion. And his body. It's okay to love them both!
Best judge comment: ''I forgot you were a tap dancer. You scraped into the series and I think you are a major asset.'' —Nigel Lythgoe
1. Paul Karmiryan
Evaluation: The Latin ballroom specialist with ''soul in his bowl'' (cried Mary Murphy after a particularly engaging hip-hop routine) just radiates a love for dance. The former winner of the Armenian version of SYTYCD is so gosh darn likable — and talented — that it's difficult to imagine any other guy beating him.
Best judge comment: ''You have a fire burning in your soul, young man. Every move that you make has something so alive underneath it.'' —Kenny Ortega
