Tom Welling

Tom Welling

After appearing in a few episodes of Judging Amy, Tom Welling had a heroic turn as Clark Kent on Smallville. The actor spent ten years on the show, wrapping his run as Superman in 2011. In the years since, Welling has shifted his focus to big-screen work, landing his first post-Smallville role as Parkland's Roy Kellerman in 2013. He followed up the role with turns in Draft Day and The Choice. Welling also stepped behind the camera in recent years, serving as an executive producer for The CW's Hellcats.

Allison Mack

Allison Mack

Allison Mack spent 10 years playing Chloe Sullivan on Smallville, a role she took on after popping up in TV movies and episodes of Evening Shade, Hiller and Diller, 7th Heaven, and Opposite Sex. Soon after Smallville's wrap, she joined Wilfred as Amanda. She followed up the gig with appearances in episodes of The Following and American Odyssey.

Kristin Kreuk

Smallville found its Lana Lang in newcomer Kristin Kreuk. The actress, who had previous credits for a short and a TV movie, juggled the role with a four-year turn on Edgemont as Laurel Yeung and big-screen appearances in EuroTrip and Partition. She left Smallville in 2009, going on to play Hannah in Chuck and return to film in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, Vampire, Ecstasy, and Space Milkshake. She now plays Catherine Chandler in The CW's Beauty & the Beast.

Michael Rosenbaum

Michael Rosenbaum

After earning credits for Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane, Sweet November, and Batman Beyond, Michael Rosenbaum joined Smallville as Lex Luthor. The actor also landed roles in Sorority Boys, Poolhall Junkies, The Zeta Project, Bringing Down the House, Racing Stripes, Justice League, Kickin' It Old Skool, and Father of Invention during the show's run. In the years since he wrapped the gig in 2011, Rosenbaum has appeared in Catch .44, Hit and Run, Breaking In, and Impastor.

Justin Hartley

Justin Hartley

Fans first met Justin Hartley as Passions' Nicholas Foxworth Crane, a character he debuted in 1998. He then joined Smallville in 2006, playing Oliver Queen for five years. Also with credits for Gemini Division, Spring Breakdown, Emily Owens M.D., Revenge, Mistresses, and The Young and the Restless, Hartley is now best known as Kevin in NBC's new hit series, This Is Us.

John Glover

John Glover

A few decades into his career, John Glover signed on to play Smallville's Lionel Luthor. The Batman & Robin alum played Lex's father for 10 years, going on to lend his voice to TRON: Uprising and appear in episodes of The Blacklist and The Good Wife.

Erica Durance

Erica Durance

In 2004, Smallville recruited Erica Durance to play Lois Lane. She held the famed role for the rest of the show's run, also starring alongside Eric Lively in The Butterfly Effect 2 during that time. After the show aired its final episode, Durance returned to the big screen in Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie and landed a starring role in CTV's Saving Hope as Dr. Alex Reid.

Annette O’Toole

Annette O’Toole

Annette O’Toole found her spot in Smallville as Clark Kent's mother, Martha Kent. The actress came into the gig after racking up roles in Cat People, 48 Hrs., Superman III, Nash Bridges, The Huntress, and Imaginary Crimes. After wrapping her run on Smallville in 2011, O'Toole popped up in episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Halt and Catch Fire, and 11.22.63.

John Schneider

John Schneider

After picking up credits for The Dukes of Hazzard, Cannonball Fever, Exit to Eden, Heaven Help Us, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, John Schneider added another line to his résumé as Smallville's Jonathan Kent. During his 10 years on the show, he kept busy, landing roles in episodes of Nip/Tuck, Dirty Sexy Money, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, 90210, and Desperate Housewives. Schneider went on to appear in episodes of Hot in Cleveland, Mistresses, and The Haves and the Have Nots.

Sam Jones III

Sam Jones III

After booking small roles in episodes of NYPD Blue, Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Judging Amy, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Sam Jones III signed on to play Pete Ross in Smallville. He continued the gig through 2008, continuing his small-screen work in ER, Blue Mountain State, and The Defenders.

Cassidy Freeman

Cassidy Freeman

With a handful of shorts and TV movies to her name, Cassidy Freeman landed a role as Smallville's Tess Mercer. She played the character from 2008 to 2011, also starring in YellowBrickRoad and cameoing in episodes of Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In recent years, Freeman has continued her television work in The Playboy Club, CSI: Miami, The Vampire Diaries, Once Upon a Time, NCIS, and Longmire.
