RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race Season 2: Meet the Cast
'RuPaul’s All Star Drag Race' Season 2
As EW exclusively revealed Friday, the cast of RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race's second season has arrived. Premiering Thursday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on Logo, the second season of the reality show's all stars spin-off will feature such favorites as Roxxxy Andrews, Alaska, and Detox, as well as famed rivals Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese, among others. See the cast of the second season ahead, and check out EW's interview with Alaska, Adore, Alyssa, and Katya here.
Adore Delano (Season 6)
Everyones favorite Libra is back for the party. Adore proved herself as force to be reckoned with by using her goofy charm, punk rock drag aesthetic, and killer voice to make it to the top three of season 6. Since Drag Race, Adore has established herself as a bona fide pop star with two albums under her belt, and now she's got her eyes set on the All Stars crown.
"I wanted to go into All Stars being myself, if anything kind of amping it up a little bit more and being a little extra weird," Adore told EW.
Alaska (Season 5)
Alaska Thunderf— is saying "Hiiiiii!" to the Drag Race audience once again. Though she couldn't weather the Monsoon Season, Alaska proved herself as a fan favorite thanks to her avant-garde style and sharp sense of humor. She's gone on to be one of the most recognized queens to come out of Drag Race, but doesn't have the winning title to prove it... yet.
"On season 5, which was so long ago, I think I was more interested in just making friends and having a good time with the other queens," Alaska told EW. "So this time I went into it and I was like, 'I actually want to make people mad by doing really good.'”
Alyssa Edwards (Season 5)
The secret is out — the queen of pageants is gunning for Drag Race royalty for a second time. Alyssa's drag career really took off after her season of Drag Race, thanks to a popular web series, performing with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs, and establishing herself as the matriarch of one of the most well-known drag families out there: the Haus of Edwards.
"I went into All Stars with a very open mind," Alyssa told EW. "I just thought, 'Laugh at yourself, be in on the joke, don’t take every challenge so seriously' — that’s where I think I messed up in season 5."
Coco Montrese (Season 5)
What goes better with an orange face than a golden crown? Season 5's lip-syncing sensation Coco Montrese is ready to take on the competition yet again! Of course, her beef with All Stars castmate Alyssa Edwards is legendary — did they really bury the hatchet in season 5?
Detox (Season 5)
Detox has had it with being overlooked for the Drag Race crown, so she's back to snatch it in All Stars. She'll be reunited with her season 5 clique RoLaskaTox (including Roxxxy Andrews and Alaska) in the new season — will she fall back into the group mentality or break out on her own?
"We’re going to have a blast, because as soon as you see Detox you know you’re going to have fun," Adore gushed about her castmate.
Ginger Minj (Season 7)
The self-described "glamour toad" came so close to winning season 7, but lost out to Violet Chachki. It's only been a year since her season of Drag Race, but Ginger is getting up in her gig again for a second chance to take the crown home to Florida.
Katya (Season 7)
Katya Zamolodchikova is a woman of many monikers. She's described herself as the sweatiest woman in drag, the Brooke Hogan of drag, and "your average, run-of-the-mill Russian, bisexual, transvestite hooker" — will she add All Stars champion to that list?
"I didn’t get to show all my cards the first time around, out of fear or whatever," Katya told EW. "So this time I thought, 'Everything you were regretful about the first time around, make sure that doesn’t happen this time.' And so I didn’t… or I did. I don’t know, tune in to find out!"
Phi Phi O'Hara (Season 4)
Phi Phi O'Hara's rivalry with season 4 winner Sharon Needles was scarier than anything out of Party City, but the queen of "phierce" made it to the top three, and has gone on to display incredible range in drag aesthetic since the show. She's wowed fans with her year-long Instagram challenge "365 Days of Drag," in which she's proved herself a master of cosplay.
Roxxxy Andrews (Season 5)
Roxxxy Andrews will be whipping her hair on the Drag Race stage for a second time. The "thick and juicy" pageant queen may have narrowly missed out on the crown in season 5, but that hasn't gotten her down — she's gone on to garner superstar fans like Nicki Minaj, and Tamar Braxton has even hired her as her personal makeup artist. Get your sequinsed gowns ready, girls!
Tatianna (Season 2)
Tatianna may have had to sashay away before the finale in season 2, but she's not planning on that happening again in All Stars. The fishy queen has polished her look even more since her season aired six years ago, and she's ready to unleash the new-and-improved Tatianna on the Drag Race judges and fans.
