People's Choice 2012: Best/Worst Style
1 of 16
Emma Stone
She was one of last year's best dressed stars, and if this ensemble is any indication, she's likely to top the list again in 2012. Stone kicked off her award show season in a chic green blazer, a perfect fit for the fun and casual atmosphere of People's Choice. A+

Stana Katic
You don't always need jewels to sparkle, as the Castle star proved in this simply stunning black Valentino gown. A

Julianne Hough
Don't underestimate this long-sleeved shimmery ensemble. Though from the front it seems like a safe bet, the plunging back makes it a totally bold surprise. A

Miley Cyrus
Her Disney days may have ended years ago, but we're just now beginning to believe Miley is all grown up. The star, who's had more than her share of fashion faux pas, was almost unrecognizable (in a good way!) on the carpet in an understated, cream David Koma dress. A couple more looks like this and we just might forgive her past atrocities. A-

Busy Philipps
Unlike most other attendees, Busy kept it simple — and got it right — in a perfectly fitted, bold blue dress. A-

Alyson Hannigan
The How I Met Your Mother star was positively adorable as she showed off her baby bump in a little red dress. B+

Kaley Cuoco
Though we liked the nude Badgley Mischka gown host Kelly Cuoco wore on the red carpet, we much preferred the bolder red number she changed into before hitting the stage. B

Jennifer Lawrence
There's no reason this dress should have worked (mesh insets?!), but the Hunger Games star managed to pull off the fittingly futuristic number by Victor & Rolf. Though we won't truly be impressed until it starts shooting flames. (Where is Cinna when you need him?) B

Lea Michele
Though we give the Glee gal credit for stepping out of her comfort zone with this white Marchesa gown, the iridescent fringe detail makes us think it'd be better suited for a stint on Dancing With the Stars than a red carpet arrival. B

Ginnifer Goodwin
We're a fan of the bright pink, but overall this Roksanda Ilincic piece is just too much dress, and too little Ginnifer. B

Nina Dobrev
The Vampire Diaries star is usually a sure bet on the red carpet, but unless she was auditioning for the role of Poison Ivy, she missed the mark with this Elie Saab ensemble. B-

Lucy Hale
Though we don't mind Lucy's shimmery little black dress, it's the drape hanging off the side we just can't seem to look past. C

Demi Lovato
The 1990s called. They want their dress back. C-

Whitney Cummings
Sorry Whitney, but Angelina Jolie did it better. Much better. D+

Vanessa Hudgens
We're not sure if she's trying to be goth or glam, but either way it's not working. (Though our apologies if she really did just get caught in a big spiderweb on her way to the show). D-

Ashley Greene
The problem with this dress falls somewhere between the half-lace, half-leather, half-sleeves, and half-skirt. Next time, we suggest choosing one style and sticking to it. F
