This Is What the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards Looked Like
This Sunday, stars will descend on New York City's Madison Square Garden for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. With just days to go until the Beyoncé-led show, there's no better time to take a look back at the ceremony 20 years prior. Held at NYC's Radio City Music Hall, the 1996 VMAs featured such moments as Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea stripping down as he took the stage with Claudia Schiffer and bandmate Anthony Kiedis to present the award for Best Dance Video (pictured above). See more photos from the throwback night, ahead.
