HBO owned the Best of 2010 site special, which included both a 728×90 and one of their custom units, a 300×600 expandable.
The expanded state of the 300×600 contained video clips from each of the past four seasons, allowing users to vote on their favorite scene within each respective set.
After the user voted on their favorite clip for a given season, the voting results were displayed. Note that there are also persistent links at the bottom of the unit pointing to HBO’s website and their #Big Love Twitter feed.
The other custom unit that HBO utilized was an OPA pushdown, which ran on our homepage.
When expanded, the pushdown revealed a dialog box where users could share their Big Love Season 5 moments as tweets, which were then automatically funneled to the HBO #Big Love Twitter feed. The expanded state also included a tab where video clips could be viewed.
