Ruah (center) on working with the Hawaii Five-0 cast (Alex O'Loughlin, left, and Terry O'Quinn, right): ''It was a great environment. Just before I shot, I got to go to their premiere and met everyone in a social/working environment, so it help put everyone at ease.''
On Kensi and McGarrett's, um, first impressions: ''Well, I think they're working together, so there's a very professional environment. But at the same time, it's still boy meets girl. And McGarrett's a good-looking character. And Kensi can't help but smile when she meets him.''
On working with Terry O'Quinn (Lt. Commander White): ''I watched the first season [of Lost]. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch it on a week-to-week basis, and, as we all remember, if you don't keep up with Lost, you will be lost. But I was aware of his character. He's a very tall, very majestic man. He's a man who, without words, can make you respect him.''
On backstory revelations: ''There isn't much detail, but there is a hint of how White knows Kensi. Agencies mix once and a while, and it has to do with a past mission that Kensi has been involved in.''
On Kensi's Hawaii-friendly wardrobe: ''It's more Hawaiian laid-back, for sure. We tried to keep a more summery environment. We kept her to her professional style, but we spruced it up a little bit because she's in Hawaii. But maybe she got dressed up for McGarrett. You never know. [laughs]''
