Three generations of Gilmore women — Emily, Lorelai, and Rory — will come together once again when Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life debuts on Netflix in November. And, sadly, they'll be mourning the lost of patriarch Richard (actor Edward Hermann died in 2014). The trio is clearly visiting a cemetery in this exclusive photo from the show's return.

It's only right that Rory (Bledel) and Lorelai (Graham) still get their coffee at Luke's (Patterson), as seen in this exclusive pic. But just because you see Luke and Lorelai gabbing here doesn't mean that's the point of the revival. "I would be remiss if I didn't say that [Rory and Lorelai's] main strength, even if they believe in true love, is that they have themselves and they have each other,” Graham tells EW. “The show is sneakily feminist in that it's always been great for them to have love, but they're also okay when they don't. ... I think that's an underlying message of the show."

“You know how you finish college and you’re a few years older and you’re like, ‘I wish I could go do this now ‘cause I would appreciate it so much more and understand it and get more out of it’? That’s the opportunity I have this with and I appreciate every day that I’m here,” Graham said of the experience.
