Following Alias‘ finale, Garner focused on her big-screen work, racking up gigs in Catch and Release, The Kingdom, Juno, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, The Invention of Lying, Valentine’s Day, and Arthur. Michael Vartan signed on to play Michael Vaughn in Alias. He took on the role of Sidney’s CIA agent love interest after picking up prior credits for The Pallbearer, Dead Man’s Curve, Never Been Kissed, and The Next Best Thing. In the midst of his run on the show, Vartan starred alongside Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda in Monster-in-Law. He later went on to appear in Rogue, Colombiana, and Hawthorne. The actor recently played George Heldens on Bates Motel and popped up on USA’s Satisfaction as Dylan.
Victor Garber found his spot in Alias as Sydney’s father, Jack Bristow. The Godspell alum followed up his five-year, Emmy-nominated gig as the agent with turns in Justice, Milk, Eli Stone, You Again, Flashpoint, and the Charlie’s Angels reboot. In recent years, Garber appeared in the Oscar-winning Argo and Oscar-nominated Sicario, and returned to the small screen in Damages, Deception, Motive, Power, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow.
Alias recruited veteran actor Ron Rifkin to play the villainous Arvin Sloane. The L.A. Confidential star, who also appeared in ER, One Day at a Time, and The Trials of Rosie O’Neill, followed up his dark turn with roles in Peep World, Brothers & Sisters, American Masters, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Limitless.
Cagney & Lacey star Carl Lumbly had a busy few years in the early 2000s. The same year that he signed on for an extended stint on Justice League, he made his debut as Alias‘ Marcus Dixon. Lumbly played Sidney’s colleague for five years, going on to earn credits for The Alphabet Killer, Southland, The Returned, and Zoo.
After popping up in episodes of Just Shoot Me!, ER, Roswell, Felicity, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kevin Weisman signed on to play techie Marshall Flinkman in Alias. He returned to the small screen soon after the show’s wrap in Moonlight, also appearing in Flipped, The Trust, and episodes of October Road, CSI: NY, Fringe, Awake, Hello Ladies, Scorpion, The Blacklist, and Goliath.
After wrapping his run as Felicity‘s Sean Blumberg, Greg Grunberg spent five years playing Eric Weiss on Alias. The actor earned subsequent credits for Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek, Heroes, Super 8, Big Ass Spider!, The Client List, Masters of Sex, and Heroes Reborn.
Early in his career, David Anders joined Alias as Julian Sark. The then-rising star continued on from there, picking up gigs in Deadwood, Grey’s Anatomy, The Revenant (2009), Heroes, 24, Necessary Roughness, The Vampire Diaries, iZombie, and Once Upon a Time.
Merrin Dungey appeared in Alias as Francie Calfo and lookalike Allison Doren. During the five years she spent in the dual role, Dungey also added to her résumé with small-screen turns in Malcolm in the Middle and Summerland. After playing the two characters, Dungey wrapped her eight-year run as The King of Queens‘ Kelly Palmer, and went on to appear in episodes of Better Off Ted, Revenge, Hollywood Heights, Once Upon a Time, Chasing Life, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
