''Through the Looking Glass'' (Season 3, Episode 22)
The fact that our lovable drug addict-turned-hero was actually dying (after his fakeout death in season 1) was almost too hard to bear. His stoicism through it all spoke to the change he'd undergone on the Island, but none of us could claim such acceptance as we watched.

''The Constant'' (Season 4, Episode 5)
Penny: ''I'll find you, Des —''
Desmond: ''I promise...''
Penny: ''...no matter what...''
Desmond: ''...I'll come back to ya —''
Penny: ''I won't give up...''
Desmond: ''I promise.''
Penny: ''I promise.''
[simultaneously]
Desmond: ''I love you.''
Penny: ''I love you.''
Heartbreakingly beautiful, that scene with Desmond on the freighter and Penny in front of her Christmas tree cemented them as the show's big love.

The uplifting, unifying scene when Hurley got the Dharma van started, with Three Dog Night's ''Shambala'' playing over it, was a fitting near-end to this Hurley-centric episode.

''Through the Looking Glass'' (Season 3, Episode 22)
Charlie's last talk with Hurley, when Charlie knew he wouldn't be returning, was painful to watch. Hurley's face went from wounded to bemused as Charlie harshly attempted to dissuade him from coming along to the sub station and then turned around and hugged the big man and told him he loved him. Everyone but Hurley knew we were watching these besties give one final goodbye.

''The Last Recruit'' (Season 6, Episode 12)
The moment didn't play out as grandly as their first reunion (and it was way too short-lived), but by the time Jin and Sun had traveled between the Dharma past and the temporal anomalies to get back to each other, seeing them embrace was a victory for us.
