''This year I will finally watch The Wire. It's only been on my to-watch list for about five years. But this is the year.'' —Dalene Rovenstine
''I sped through season 1 of The Wire nearly two years ago...and then the second season sunk me. Docks be damned—I'm going to finish the series in 2015.'' —Amy Wilkinson

''I'm going to catch up on the backlog of awesome albums that I've failed to appreciate (including, I'm ashamed to say, Queen B's surprise album from last year. Don't come for me, Beygency!) because I've just been listening to Robyn on repeat since 2010.'' —Kat Ward

''The last thing I need is to add more comics to my pull list (and my apartment), but there's no excuse as to why I haven't started Kieron Gillen's Journey Into Mystery yet. Especially since I've long finished (and adored) Young Avengers.'' —Andrea Towers

''Every week, I download the next episode of Serial to my phone...and then I don't listen to it. Gonna have to change that before the Internet spoils me.'' —Ben Boskovich

''I'm resolving to make a real effort to do one thing at a time—i.e. to watch an episode of, say, House of Cards all the way through without simultaneously scrolling through Twitter. I think I'm multitasking, but really, I'm just paying half-attention to two things at the same time.'' —Hillary Busis

''This is going to sound pretentious, but I want to finish more oeuvres. I have a wide knowledge of films but sometimes that knowledge doesn't go as deep as I want. I want to make sure I've seen everything particular filmmakers have made (Coen brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, for example).'' —Esther Zuckerman

''I'm finally going to watch Breaking Bad. (Just in time to ignore Better Call Saul until all the hype dies down.)'' —Danielle Nussbaum
''I want to binge Breaking Bad. I have to see what all the fuss is about!'' —Chris Rackliffe
''I resolve to finally watch Breaking Bad. I know, I know—it's the best show ever. It just seems like a huge undertaking and I haven't felt emotionally ready for it yet.'' —Kristen Harding

''I need to make a stronger effort to read more classics, including Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness or Frank Herbert's Dune (a bit embarrassing to admit I haven't read that one). As the EW comics guy, it's super-easy to get buried under the flood of funnybooks every week and be left with no time to read anything else. I love everything about old-fashioned prose books, though—the way they feel, smell, and look when stacked all over a room. It's just that it feels far easier to sneak in buzzy contemporary fiction (The Martian just sounds so cool) than trying to wrestle with Joyce between subway stations.'' —Joshua Rivera

''I will suffer resolutely through the boring bits of Game of Thrones so that I'm properly caught up with this so-called global phenomenon in time for the season 5 premiere. I mean, does Jon Snow ever stop wandering around in the arctic cold tundra? B-O-R-I-N-G.'' —Nina Terrero

''I plan to take full advantage of the fact that Hulu Plus has a pretty great selection of Criterion Collection movies, so whenever I'm tempted to watch Steel Magnolias or something for the 50th time, I'd like to remember: There are other options. Also, one full year without having to see a single production of King Lear would be pretty nice.'' —Jason Clark

''My 11-year-old son and I just finished binge-watching Malcolm in the Middle and loved it. We were going to watch The Cosby Show next, but alas, the man who played Mr. Huxtable is not the greatest role model these days. We are moving on to The Wonder Years.'' —Lisa Berman

''As much as I appreciate the medium, I don't spend a lot of my time reading graphic novels, and I haven't read some of the biggest ones (like, uh, Maus). I want to dive in this year and eliminate some of those blind spots. And considering they don't take all that long to read, I should be able to burn through a bunch of them. See you soon, Spiegelman.'' —Kyle Ryan
