Carrie Fisher and Adam West were among the stars who were remembered during the In Memoriam segment at the 69th annual Emmy Awards Sunday evening.
How to Get Away With Murder‘s Viola Davis introduced the segment, which featured Hamilton‘s Chris Jackson performing Stevie Wonder’s “As” as the montage honored TV stars such as Nelsan Ellis (True Blood), Debbie Reynolds, Jerry Lewis (Wiseguy), Powers Boothe (Nashville), Mary Tyler Moore (The Mary Tyler Moore Show), Alan Thicke (Growing Pains), Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch), and Miguel Ferrer (NCIS: Los Angeles).
In addition to the actors, the In Memoriam montage also featured former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, NCIS showrunner Gary Glasberg, and journalist Gwen Ifill.
Fisher received a posthumous nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy for her role on Catastrophe, but lost out to Melissa McCarthy, who won for her hosting turn on Saturday Night Live.
