General Hospital earned 21 Daytime Emmy nominations while The Young and the Restless grabbed 20 today from the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences. Even canceled soaps All My Children and One Life to Live made a respectable showing, each generating 13 and 12 nods, respectively, for the awards fest that’ll air June 19 on CBS from Las Vegas.

As for talk shows, The Ellen DeGeneres Show topped the genre with 12, followed by six for Today Show, six for The View and five for The Oprah Winfrey Show, which ends this month. Overall, ABC lead with 46 nominations, followed by 42 for CBS and 15 for NBC.

In the best soap race, All My Children will vie for the top prize against The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. For best talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will compete against Live with Regis and Kelly, Rachael Ray and The View.

Susan Lucci didn’t get a nod in the best actress race (though fellow AMC stars Alicia Minshew and Debbi Morgan did). And Dr. Oz will go up against Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin, Rachael Ray and the MDs on The Doctors and the ladies on The View for the title of best talk show host.
