Tina Fey, Justin Timberlake, and Joss Whedon weren’t the only winners at this weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys. The big upset? United States of Tara winning Outstanding Main Title Design, beating True Blood.

However you feel about the show, these titles are staggeringly awesome. But awesomer than wanting to do bad things to you?

Tough call. Tara‘s titles also beat out Lie to Me, Storymakers, and Taking Chance, which I couldn’t find video of, and Showtime is becoming a favorite in this category, with both Dexter and Huff picking up awards in years past (though Weeds missed out, losing to the Oscars in 2006).

I dig True Blood‘s moody and strange titles, and think they fit better with the theme and style of the series, but I have to agree with the Academy on this one: Tara‘s credits are fabulous. Are you with me, PopWatchers?
