Colin Firth, Taron Egerton Suit Up In Kingsman: The Golden Circle Posters
Colin Firth as Harry Hart
The stars of Kingsman: The Golden Circle are crossing the pond and headed to Comic-Con.
Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Pedro Pascal will be on hand at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday to share some details on the upcoming action sequel, and to celebrate, Fox has released a slew of new character posters.
First up is the dapper and thought-to-be-dead Harry Hart (Firth), who mentored Eggsy (Egerton) and perished in the first film. It has yet to be revealed exactly how Harry managed to return from the dead, but since then, he appears to have lost an eye and gained a cowboy hat.
Taron Egerton as Eggsy
If the first Kingsman was all about Eggsy's transformation from streetwise teenager to suave superspy, The Golden Circle finds him already in 007 mode. It also follows him and his fellow Kingsmen as they team up with their U.S. counterparts: an organization called the Statesmen.
“If the first Kingsman was Captain America,” Egerton told EW earlier this year, “then this is very much The Avengers now.”
Channing Tatum as Agent Tequila
Tatum is one of the new additions to the cast, playing Agent Tequila, a member of the U.S. spy organization known as Statesman.
Halle Berry as Agent Ginger Ale
Berry plays another powerful member of the Statesmen, the tech-savvy Ginger.
Pedro Pascal as Agent Whiskey
The Game of Thrones alum is also making his Kingsman debut, playing an agent with the codename Whiskey.
Jeff Bridges as Agent Champagne
Bridges plays the fourth and final member of the Statesmen, the high-ranking agent Champagne. "They call me The Champ," Bridges wrote on Twitter. "See you soon, San Diego."
Julianne Moore as Poppy
Samuel L. Jackson played the big bad in the original Kingsman, but this time, Moore is tapping into her villainous side as the shrewd businesswoman Poppy (whom director Matthew Vaughn describes as "Martha Stewart on crack").
“The best villains have plotlines which would actually seem like half-decent ideas, if they weren’t so crazy,” Vaughn previously told EW. “They have a plan to completely f— up the world but their motives are not totally ridiculous."
Mark Strong as Merlin
Also returning is Strong as Kingsman's resident tech guru, Merlin. “I quite like playing the tech nerd who can handle himself in a conflict situation,” Strong told EW. “But what I really like about this second film is that Merlin meets Halle Berry’s character, who plays his equivalent role in the Statesmen. And she had her clipboard and her glasses, just like Merlin. And what happens when two tech nerds come together? Might there be some geeky love?””
