The prequel series hails from 'The Dark Knight' scribe David S. Goyer
Move over, Superman — it’s grandpa’s turn.
Ahead of its Saturday panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Syfy has unveiled the explosive first look at Krypton, the Superman prequel series from David S. Goyer, the writer behind The Dark Knight trilogy, Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
“The blood of House El will always bind us together,” declares Seyg-El (Cameron Cuffe) in the teaser trailer.
The series is set approximately 200 years before Superman’s home planet was destroyed in the opening scene of Man of Steel. The story follows Kal-El’s grandfather as he works to restore his House’s honor and save his world from mayhem.
Krypton premieres on Syfy in 2018.
