New Jigsaw image promises buckets of terror
The latest 'Saw' movie hits theaters Oct. 27
What is going on with the folks wearing bucket-shaped helmets in a just-released image from the eighth Saw movie Jigsaw (out Oct. 27)? We don’t know — and directors Peter and Michael Spierig aren’t saying. It’s a fair bet, however, that it has something to do with the horror franchise’s famously gruesome traps, of which the siblings admit there will be no shortage in their film.
“We’ve got some pretty wild traps in the film — we don’t shy away from the gore,” says Michael Spierig. “It’s such a perfect Halloween scare-fest. It’s perhaps not quite as vicious and more fun, which is something we tried to inject into it. But it’s still full of good fun gore, that’s for sure. And, on top of that, it’s got a really great mystery, and there are very interesting twists. It’s Saw for 2017.”
Jigsaw stars Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Clé Bennett, Hannah Emily Anderson, Laura Vandervoort, Mandela Van Peebles, Paul Braunstein, Brittany Allen, and Josiah Black. The film is written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger and is produced by Oren Koules, Mark Burg, and Gregg Hoffman.
You can see that new Jigsaw photo in the special issue of EW being handed out at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Not going to SDCC? No sweat — you can also check out the image, below.
